A burglar was caught on camera in downtown Bakersfield, breaking into a business and attempting to steal eyeglasses. The Bakersfield Police Department quickly responded to the call and shared footage of the incident on social media.

According to police, the burglary took place on March 28 around 11:30 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered the suspect still inside the building. Surveillance footage showed the suspect smashing items and attempting to disable a camera. Despite being ordered to leave, the suspect tried to flee but was apprehended shortly after by police.
