London School of Economics (LSE) Ranked Best in London for Social Science and Management Subjects

LSE has been ranked among the top universities in London and sixth in the world for Social Science and Management subjects, according to the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. The rankings highlight LSE’s strong performance across various disciplines, with top five placements in eight subjects including Communications and Media Studies, Geography, Philosophy, Development Studies, Social Policy and Administration, History, Sociology, and Politics and International Studies.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject are published annually and are based on factors like academic reputation, employer reputation, and research impact. The rankings draw data from over 1,500 institutions worldwide. LSE’s Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research), Professor Susana Mourato, expressed pride in the school’s accomplishments and highlighted LSE’s commitment to research excellence and real-world impact as key factors in its success.

In addition to these recent rankings, LSE has also been named the top university in London and fourth in the UK in other prestigious league tables such as the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024 and the Guardian’s Best UK Universities league table 2024. These consistent performances across various rankings showcase LSE’s dedication to academic excellence and global impact.
