Madison Man Arrested for Multiple Business Break-Ins in Rusk County

Police report: Madison man taken into custody for involvement in five business break-ins

On Tuesday, a Madison man was arrested in Rusk County for breaking into five businesses in the city, according to police reports. The 37-year-old man was linked to multiple break-ins by investigators in Madison Police Department’s Burglary Crime Unit between mid- and late-January.

The break-ins were reported at various locations in Madison. Three businesses were targeted on Monroe Street, one on the 400 block of W. Gilman Street, and one on the 2400 block of University Avenue. MPD initiated the investigation after a break-in at a business on Gilman Street where the front door was broken and cash register trays were stolen on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
