Madison Public Library’s Super Summer Science Series Promises Fun and Educational Experiments for Kids of All Ages

Madison Public Library’s Awesome Summer Science Series

The Madison Public Library is thrilled to announce its Super Summer Science Series, a hands-on program that will take place at the Goodman South Madison Library every Friday afternoon throughout the summer. This exciting series is designed to teach children about various aspects of science in a fun and interactive way.

The program is open to kids of all ages, but children under the age of 7 will need the assistance of a caregiver. Each experiment is designed to engage young minds and encourage them to explore their curiosity about science.

Here’s an overview of the experiments that will be featured in the series:

June 14 – Elephant Toothpaste: Kids will learn about chemical reactions by creating their own elephant toothpaste using household items.

June 21 – Non-Newtonian Fluid: Children will have fun with this experiment as they learn about non-Newtonian fluids by creating their own version at home.

June 28 – Invisible Ink: This experiment will teach kids about chemistry as they make their own invisible ink using everyday materials.

July 5 – Solar Ovens: Children will discover how solar energy works as they build their own solar ovens and cook marshmallows inside.

July 12 – Marshmallow Bridges: Kids will explore engineering principles by building marshmallow bridges and testing their strength.

July 19 – Foil Penny Boats: Children will learn about buoyancy and physics by building foil penny boats and racing them down a stream.

July 26 – Marble Race Tracks: Kids will have fun designing marble race tracks using household materials such as cardboard boxes, ramps, and loops.
