Maximizing Athlete Value: ASP and OneTeam Partner to Leverage NIL Opportunities

Partnership between OneTeam Partners and Altius Sports Partners through multiyear agreement

Altius Sports Partners (ASP) and OneTeam Partners have recently signed a multiyear agreement that aims to maximize the value of athletes’ rights through group licensing and NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities. While the financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, the partnership will focus on ASP educating school partners and athletes about the various group licensing opportunities available through OneTeam.

OneTeam was launched in 2019 as a joint venture between the NFLPA and MLBPA with the aim of maximizing the value of athletes’ rights in both college and professional sports. The platform currently includes an opt-in process for the upcoming EA Sports college football game, which ASP will leverage its expertise to enhance strategy services for OneTeam. Additionally, ASP will advise on growth opportunities within the college space to help schools maximize their revenue potential.

On the other hand, ASP advises over 40 Division I athletics departments through consulting services and its on-campus GM Program. ASP Brands also facilitates collaborations between brands and athletes through national NIL campaigns on behalf of blue-chip brands such as Powerade and Shake Shack. The partnership between these two companies is expected to bring significant benefits to both parties involved, helping them continue to grow their businesses in this rapidly evolving industry.
