Major League Pickleball (MLP) is a professional sport that has brought together the top-ranked men and women players to compete in team-based competitions. There are 24 teams split into two levels, with the Premier Level consisting of 48 top players divided among 12 cities, and the Challenger Level for up-and-coming players. Each team drafts four new players annually.
Recently, the Orlando Squeeze, one of the teams in the Premier Level, based in Orlando, drafted a new team that includes Federico Stakstrud, Vivienne David, Parris Todd, and Tyson McGuffin. The first MLP event of 2024 is set to take place in Atlanta from May 9-12, and more information about tickets and the upcoming schedule can be found on the MLP website.
The Orlando Squeeze was established in 2023 by the Devos Family, who are also owners of the Orlando Magic National Basketball Association Franchise. Professional pickleball is a growing sport that provides opportunities for players to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.
