Mossad Carries Out Three Attacks Against Iranian Air Force: Destroyed Fighter Jet and Severe Damage to Landing Gear

Three attacks on Iranian territory by Israel have been carried out in October so far.

Amidst rising tensions between Iran and Israel, the Mossad attempted to carry out three attacks against the Iranian Air Force in October and November. According to an aviation journalist who specializes in this area, Bab Tagbai, these details were revealed in the magazine “Combat Aircraft.” One of the attacks was successful and resulted in the destruction of an Iranian fighter jet, while two others suffered damage to their landing gear and tires.

On October 25 at 02:00, an attack was carried out at the Nuja (Shaharouchi) base near Madan. Two technicians poured fuel on and around the planes, setting them on fire. Due to a lack of nighttime activity at the base, it took fire crews about half an hour to respond. One plane was destroyed, another severely damaged, and two more had damage to their landing gear and tires.

The counter-espionage organization of the Iranian army tracked down and arrested the perpetrators with the help of other security forces in Hamadan. Colonel Hashem Moradi, commander of the counter-espionage department at the base, was also arrested for confiscating mobile phones from pilots following the attack. He was released just two days later.
