NASCAR Cracks Down on Rule Violations: Suspensions and Fines Announced for Crew Members and Officials

Six Pit Crew Members Suspended by NASCAR for Violations at Texas Speedway

NASCAR has announced suspensions and fines for several crew members and team officials following violations during the recent race at Texas Motor Speedway.

In addition to the one-race suspensions for Zachary Yager, Jacob Holmes, Doug Warrick, and Brandon Harder for violating Section 14.3.1.2 A, B & D in the Cup and Xfinity Rule Books, NASCAR also suspended rear tire changer Calvin Teague and jackman Brandon Johnson from Kyle Larson’s pit crew for two races each due to a rear wheel coming off Larson’s car during the previous race.

Fines were also issued to Xfinity and Truck crew chiefs Phillip Bell and Patrick Donahue for their teams’ infractions. Chris Carrier, crew chief for Stefan Parsons’ truck, was fined $2,500 for not having all lug nuts secure on the vehicle. These penalties highlight NASCAR’s commitment to safety and the importance of following strict rules and regulations during races.
