Clayton, a four-star prospect, led Edgewater High to an impressive 11-1 record during his sophomore season. He threw for 1,902 yards with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

This marks the fourth Big Ten school to extend a scholarship offer to Clayton this month. Previously, he received offers from the Iowa Hawkeyes, Michigan State Spartans, and Maryland Terrapins. As of now, Clayton has not made any commitment to any school in the class of 2026.
