Recently, the Houston Texans acquired former Buffalo Bills star Stefon Diggs through a trade. This move has provided quarterback C.J. Stroud with a new weapon to work with. As part of the deal, Diggs is now set to become a free agent in 2025 after Houston restructured his contract. The restructured agreement includes a guaranteed $22.52 million in 2024, with the final three years of his original extension in Buffalo voided.

With the new contract in place, Diggs will receive a signing bonus of $20.805 million, a base salary of $1.21 million, an offseason workout bonus of $250,000, and per-game roster bonuses up to $255,000. His cap hit for 2024 will be $5.876 million. While Houston does not have Diggs under contract for the long term, he will likely be highly motivated to perform well in the upcoming season to secure a new deal after his debut with the Texans.

Looking ahead to 2025, several teams are expected to be top suitors for Diggs once he hits free agency
