The New England Patriots have announced the release of the Drake Maye jersey, following his selection as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Maye had an outstanding season at North Carolina, throwing for 3,608 yards, 24 touchdowns, and only nine interceptions. Now, he will be leading the Patriots under new head coach Jerod Mayo, taking over from the legendary Bill Belichick.
With four different quarterbacks starting for the Patriots since Tom Brady’s departure in 2019, Maye hopes to become the new face of the franchise in New England. The team traded Mac Jones to the Jaguars, paving the way for Maye to step in as the starting quarterback.
