Madhu Arora has recently taken up her new role as Member, Technology/Digital Communication Commission within the Indian Department of Telecom (DOT), formerly known as the Telecom Commission. She officially began her tenure on April 1, 2024. With a wealth of experience and impressive academic credentials, Arora is expected to drive further advancements in technology and digital communication under her leadership at the DOT.

A distinguished alumna of the 1986 batch of Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS), Arora has had a remarkable career spanning over 36 years marked by academic excellence and notable achievements. She topped her batch and has consistently displayed exceptional leadership qualities. With a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from Delhi College of Engineering, an MBA from the University of Queensland, and an LLB from Campus Law Centre, Delhi University, Arora’s academic credentials are impressive.

Arora is well-known for her contributions to the telecommunications sector, particularly for her role in the restructuring of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) during her time as the nodal Principal GM. She is recognized as a dynamic, focused, and empathetic leader, traits that are expected to drive further advancements in technology and digital communication under her leadership at the DOT.
