New Leadership for Wyoming’s Veterans Home and Skilled Nursing Facility: Meredith Takes the Helm at VHW, West Steps Up as Interim at WLRC

Changes in the Management of State Healthcare Facilities

The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) has announced new appointments for the administration of two state healthcare facilities. Greg Meredith, a licensed nursing home administrator from Buffalo, has been named as the new administrator for the Veterans’ Home of Wyoming (VHW) in Buffalo. Meanwhile, James West has been appointed as the interim administrator for the Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) in Lander, following the resignation of Jeremy Forbis.

Meredith brings experience in patient care, behavioral analysis, and leadership to his new role at VHW. He previously worked at the WLRC and is excited to bring progress to the facility under his leadership. Stefan Johansson, WDH director, expressed excitement for Meredith’s appointment and the exceptional care he aims to provide to veterans at VHW.

WLRC in Lander provides high-level intermediate and long-term care to individuals with complex needs. West also serves as the administrator of the WLRC intermediate care facility. Matt Petry, Behavioral Health Division senior administrator with WDH, commended West for taking on the interim role and expressed optimism for continued exceptional care provided to residents at WLRC.

Both VHW in Buffalo and WLRC in Lander are operated by the Wyoming Department of Health and play crucial roles in providing domiciliary care and skilled nursing care respectively to their respective populations. They are dedicated to serving their populations with the highest level of care and support.
