New Pole Winner Christopher Bell Leads the Pack at Kansas Speedway: Race Preview

Christopher Bell Claims Pole Position for NASCAR Cup Race at Kansas

This Sunday, Christopher Bell will secure the No. 1 starting position for the Cup race at Kansas Speedway. This will be Bell’s first pole of the season as a driver for Joe Gibbs Racing. Ross Chastain, his teammate, will follow closely behind in a career-high third position. Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch will start fourth and fifth, respectively, with Larson continuing to perform well with this being his sixth top-five starting position in 12 races this year.

It is worth noting that this is the third consecutive week that Kyle Busch has started in the top five. He claimed the pole at Dover last week and started fourth at Talladega the week before. William Byron, who has three wins this season, will be starting a season-low 36th place after hitting the wall during his qualifying run. The race is set to begin at 3:13 p.m. ET on FS1.
