New WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch Claims Vacant Title in Battle Royal, Earning Seventh Reign

Becky Lynch Claims WWE Women’s World Title as Rhea Ripley Relinquishes it on Raw

WWE’s newest Women’s World Champion has been crowned on Monday Night Raw, as Becky Lynch emerged victorious in a Battle Royal to claim the vacant title previously held by Rhea Ripley. This marks Lynch’s seventh world championship reign in WWE.

Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title last week due to a shoulder injury. She held the championship for 380 days after defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. Ripley also successfully defended the title against Lynch at WrestleMania 40.

In the final moments of the 15-woman Battle Royal, Lynch outlasted Nia Jax and Liv Morgan to become the new champion. Despite being put through a table earlier in the match, Lynch managed to make a comeback and secure the victory.

Becky Lynch now inherits the responsibility of following in Rhea Ripley’s footsteps, as Ripley was a dominant force during her title reign. With WWE entering a new era under the leadership of Paul “Triple H” Leveque, Lynch’s championship win signifies continuity in some ways, but she is expected to play a role in building new stars in the company.
