Nigerian Nail Technician Challenges World Record to Promote Positivity and Change Perception of Teen Mothers

Nigerian Woman Dedicates Three Days to Nail Art Painting

19-year-old Nigerian woman, Lisah Dackor, recently attempted to break the world record for painting the most nails in a 72-hour period. Armed with a nail brush, she painted over 4,000 nails with blue, pink, and purple varnish at an events center in Plateau state, Nigeria.

As a professional nail technician for almost three years and a single mother herself, Ms. Dackor embarked on this challenge to change the perception of teen mothers like herself. She wanted to give hope to single mothers who are often marginalized in society by showcasing their talent and potential. She believes that women from northern Nigeria have valuable contributions to make to society and that they deserve recognition beyond their past conflicts.

Ms. Dackor’s marathon session ended on Wednesday and she is waiting for the Guinness World Records (GWR) to review her attempt. According to GWR rules, she had to paint 60 fingernails per hour for her attempt to be considered. If successful, her record would put Plateau state on the map as a beautiful place that deserves recognition beyond its past conflicts. The support she received from all ethnic groups during her record attempt demonstrates that despite decades of conflict and insecurity due to ethnic and religious differences in Plateau state, there is still unity among its diverse groups. Through her dedication to breaking the world record, Ms. Dackor hopes to inspire and uplift others, especially single mothers, showing them that they have valuable contributions to make to society.

In conclusion, Lisah Dackor’s attempt at breaking the world record was not only about painting nails but also about promoting unity and positivity among women from northern Nigeria and changing the negative perception of teen mothers like herself. Her dedication towards this goal has shown us that everyone has something unique and valuable they can contribute towards society regardless of their background or circumstances.
