No Formal Offer Yet: Bayern’s Interest in Signing Midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu from Inter Milan

Bayern Munich Has Not Made a Formal Offer for Inter Milan Star

In recent transfer rumors, it has been reported that Bayern Munich is interested in signing midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu from Inter Milan. However, according to the print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, Bayern has not yet made a formal offer for Calhanoglu. Despite the interest from the German giants, there has not been an official offer from Bayern.

After losing out on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen last season, Bayern is looking to make changes to reclaim the crown. One of their priorities is rebuilding their midfield under new coach Vincent Kompany. Recent reports suggest that Calhanoglu may be a target for Bayern as they seek to strengthen their midfield.

Calhanoglu has spent seven years in Italian football and has shown significant growth during his time in Serie A. Starting as a winger or attacking midfielder at AC Milan, he transitioned into more of a box-to-box role over the years. When Inter signed Calhanoglu in 2021, he was brought in to replace Christian Eriksen after his health emergency at the last Euros.

Having previous experience in the Bundesliga, Calhanoglu may not have to make many adjustments if he were to join Bayern, considering he is born in Germany and fluent in the language. However, despite Bayern’s interest, there has not been a formal offer from the club for Calhanoglu as reported by Corriere della Sera.
