North Augusta secured a dominant 11-8 victory over Midland Valley to win the series and claim the Region 4-AAAA title. This win ensured that the Jackets maintained their streak of region championships with a 10-1 region record for the year. As a result, North Augusta earned the No. 1 seed and the opportunity to host their first playoff game on March 30.

Although their bats were quiet in the second game of the series, the team’s offense awakened in the decisive game, scoring 11 runs on 13 hits while only striking out twice collectively. LeAnn Gilbert took the mound for North Augusta during the game against Midland Valley, pitching 6.1 innings, striking out six, walking four, and allowing five runs on nine hits.

Head coach Lindsey Jones noted that the team had felt flat and were swinging at pitches they would typically let go of. However, after a crucial 14-7 win against Airport, North Augusta regained its momentum with the region title up for grabs. In a stellar offensive showcase, Midland Valley pushed North Augusta to a deciding game for the region championship with a commanding victory. The Jackets have displayed strong offensive performances throughout the season, including a 12-7 win over Midland Valley earlier in the series.
