OKWU Baseball claimed the KCAC championship and secured their spot in the NAIA national tournament after winning all four games in the tournament. They defeated Friends University twice, Tabor, and conference-leading Kansas Wesleyan to claim the conference crown.

In the title game, pitcher Ashton Luerta was outstanding on the mound for the Eagles. He faced 12 batters and struck out 11 of them. Head Coach Kirk Kelly praised Luerta’s performance and highlighted his dominance during the game.

Now, OKWU Baseball is eagerly waiting to find out their opponent for the first round of the NAIA tournament next Monday. Kelly is optimistic about his team’s chances of winning a national championship this season and believes they have what it takes to bring home the title.

More information will be available later this week when Wesleyan learns about their first-round opponent on Thursday. Stay tuned for updates on their journey in the NAIA tournament.
