Unfortunately, heavy rainfall forced the cancellation of the qualification round in the men’s competition at Keqiao. As a result, the organizers have decided to modify the schedule and allow all athletes to participate in the semi-final round using the qualification format. The final round of the men’s competition will feature 20 athletes and use a semi-final format, similar to how the IFSC World Cup Seoul 2023 handled adverse weather conditions.
The updated schedule for the men’s competition is as follows: On Wednesday, 10th April, at 09:00, there will be a men’s Boulder semi-final with the qualification format. In the evening, at 19:00, there will be a men’s Boulder final using a semi-final format. This adjustment allows for a fair and equal opportunity for all athletes to showcase their skills and compete for the top spots in the competition. Despite the weather challenges, the show must go on, and the athletes are ready to give their best performance in both rounds of this exciting event in Keqiao.
