Nabil Abu Rudeina, the spokesman for the Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, has expressed grave concerns about the US’s role in Israel’s operation in Rafah. He believes that the entry of Israeli troops into Rafah would be an act of genocide and called on the American administration to take immediate action to prevent this from happening.
“The invasion of Rafah represents genocide and the potential massacre and expulsion of 1.5 million Palestinians from their homeland,” he warned. “The United States has facilitated this by providing financial and military assistance to Israel and thwarting efforts to establish a Palestinian state on the international stage.”
Abu Rudeina urged the American administration to hold Israel accountable to the international community before it is too late, arguing that failure to do so could lead to further violence and human rights abuses against Palestinians.
