Panasonic and TMCC reveal cutting-edge Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center in Local News

In a ceremony on Tuesday morning, Panasonic Energy of North America and Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) unveiled a new advanced manufacturing technology center. The partnership between the two entities will allow TMCC to train students at the new facility, leading to job opportunities with Panasonic Energy once they are trained.

Allan Swan, President of Panasonic Energy, North America, emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for individuals in the community to gain industrial experience and skills. He highlighted that this partnership will help address the need for labor in Northern Nevada by offering fast-track courses that allow students to enter the workforce after completing just one class.

In addition to the fast-track program, TMCC also offers a two-year program in advanced manufacturing. This longer program allows students to earn more certifications and provides the option to move on to a four-year institution to further their education. Those interested in learning more or contacting a representative from TMCC can visit www.tmcc.edu for more information on their summer session courses.
