Philadelphia Eagles Make Roster Moves, Waive Four Players and Sign Offensive Tackle Mekhi Becton Ahead of Rookie Minicamp

Eagles release four players – Yahoo Sports

The Eagles recently drafted nine players and are expected to sign some undrafted players as well. This has created space on the roster for newcomers, prompting them to make some roster moves on Monday. According to the NFL’s daily transaction report, the Eagles have waived defensive tackle Noah Elliss, wide receiver Griffin Hebert, defensive back Tiawan Mullen, and offensive lineman Lecitus Smith. They also officially announced the signing of tackle Mekhi Becton.

Of the four players who were cut, only offensive lineman Lecitus Smith has regular season experience, although it was not with the Eagles. Smith had appeared in 10 games and made two starts for the Cardinals in 2022. The Eagles are set to hold their rookie minicamp this weekend and further roster moves could follow after their first opportunity to work with this year’s rookie class.
