By 11:40 a.m., the situation was resolved with the help of the police department’s crisis negotiation team, Illinois State University Police, and the McLean County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities are still asking the public to avoid the area of Susan and Parkway Plaza drives due to the earlier active situation.
