Pope Francis Calls on Faithful to Pray the Rosary for Peace and Reconciliation on Feast Day of Our Lady of Pompeii

Praying the Rosary for the intercession of Our Lady in the global conflicts plaguing the world

On the Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii this May, Pope Francis has called on the faithful to pray the Rosary and entrust to Mary the wars and conflicts in the Holy Land, Ukraine, and Myanmar. In his message, he emphasized the importance of rediscovering the great value of praying the Rosary at the conclusion of his General Audience in the Vatican.

The Pope invited everyone to invoke Mary’s intercession for peace in the world, especially in regions like Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, and Myanmar that are facing turmoil and conflict. He specially prayed for the healing and peace for these troubled areas.

Pope Francis also made a request to value the practice of praying the Holy Rosary during the month of May. He entrusted young people, the sick, elderly, and newlyweds present at the audience to Mary’s care before imparting his Apostolic Blessing upon everyone.
