In an interview with Corriere della Sera, Fabrizio Cicchitto, former group leader of the People of Freedom in the Chamber, recounted a story involving Silvio Berlusconi and Vladimir Putin. According to Cicchitto, Putin invited Berlusconi to join him on a hunting trip in Russia after Berlusconi had hosted Putin in Sardinia and his homes.
Berlusconi, who had never handled a rifle before, accompanied Putin into the woods where they encountered two deer. Putin gestured for Berlusconi to aim at one of them, but then proceeded to shoot both of the animals himself. This left Berlusconi feeling anxious and somewhat annoyed at the unexpected turn of events.
Following the hunting incident, Putin surprised Berlusconi by cutting open one of the deer and removing its heart. He then handed the bloody heart to Berlusconi, calling it an “exceptional meal.” This shocking act left the former Italian prime minister stunned, as he was not prepared for such a gruesome and unconventional dining experience.
