Racine Students Ace Fresh Air Science Fair, Win Exciting Milwaukee Bucks Prizes

Bango honors victors of Racine elementary school’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Recently, the fifth-grade students at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recognized for their outstanding participation in a two-month long Fresh Air Science Fair. The fair began on February 1st and saw students form teams and submit projects that brought clean air pollution concepts to life. Each entry was judged based on the quality of research, data analysis, and creativity of presentation.

On Wednesday, March 27th, an award assembly was held to announce the winners and award prizes. In attendance were Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers. The first-place team members received a fantastic prize package that included three tickets to attend the April 10 Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, transportation to and from the game, as well as concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place winning teams also received Bucks merchandise.

The Fresh Air Science Fair is an initiative born out of a partnership between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. This collaboration provides students with an opportunity to explore important scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. A big congratulations goes out to all the winners of this year’s Science Fair!
