‘Schedule of Citizen Science Trainings for Seasonal Signs’

In the coming week, the University of Maine Cooperative Extension and Maine Sea Grant will be hosting a series of workshops for those interested in joining the Signs of the Seasons citizen science project. This statewide initiative aims to identify and record seasonal changes in over 20 indicator species, including milkweed, butterflies, and loons.

The first training session will take place on April 4 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Stimpson’s Point in Brunswick. On April 5, another session will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gilsland Farm Audubon Center in Falmouth. For those unable to attend in person, a 3-part webinar series will also be available.
