In London, the company Invisibility Shield Co has recently launched the second generation of their shields on the Kickstarter funding page. These new shields include a “Megashield” that is the largest they have ever created. The Megashield stands at 183 x 122 cm and offers a range of sizes for different applications.
The shields are made of premium transparent polycarbonate and feature a polycarbonate frame that allows them to stand upright. Inside the frame are tall, thin lenses that diffuse ambient light reflected by the user’s body and background scene. When standing or hiding behind the shield, the user appears to blend into the background scenery because their light is drowned out by the light from the background. This effect works best when wearing light-colored clothing and remains consistent regardless of how far away an observer stands.
These shields have various applications, including entertainment purposes or observing wildlife. The Full-sized shield is 99m high and 69m wide, while the Mini shield measures 30.5 x 20 cm and is suitable for hiding small objects on a table. The Megashield is ideal for larger objects or people who need to remain hidden in broad daylight.
