Revolutionizing daily life: 124 innovative projects showcased at VnExpress’ Creative Science Contest

Finalists chosen for Science Initiative 2024: 30 applications make the cut

The Creative Science Contest (CSC) is an annual competition organized by VnExpress newspaper to provide a platform for science and technology enthusiasts to showcase their ideas and products that have practical applications in everyday life. This year, the contest received 135 applications, of which 124 entries made it to the qualifying round. Out of these, 30 projects progressed to the final round after being screened by the jury and receiving votes from readers.

Among the innovative products in the final round is POCYPOCY, an application developed by CYNO’s technical team that uses modern technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to block spam messages and fraudulent calls. Another project in the final round is multi-purpose construction materials made from industrial and agricultural waste, which offer environmentally friendly and cost-effective solutions for construction projects.

The Smart Learning Gateway for preschool students in mountainous areas aims to provide early access to technology for young learners, while Smart Helmets for motorbikes and electric vehicles focus on improving safety for drivers. The Highland Warm Water Stove harnesses excess heat from wood stoves to provide hot water, benefiting households in mountainous regions. Other projects include light-transmitting “green” concrete products, a sustainable solution for plastic waste treatment, new wind power generation equipment, and early diagnosis and treatment strategies for primary liver cancer.
