Samsung is revolutionizing the home appliance industry by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into its new products, such as the Bespoke appliances. The director of Samsung’s white goods area, Nacho Ángel, spoke about the efficiency functions of AI and stated that “AI has no limits.”
The new line of home appliances was unveiled at the Welcome to BESPOKE AI event in Paris, featuring the French Dor Family Hub refrigerator and the vacuum cleaner robot Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI, which will be launched in Spain in June.
Samsung’s integrated AI in appliances allows for unique features such as identifying foods in the refrigerator, suggesting recipes, and adjusting washing cycles based on fabric type and dirt level. The appliances utilize machine learning to adapt to users’ habits and preferences, providing efficient solutions based on real-time data collected by sensors in the appliances.
One of Samsung’s key focuses is energy efficiency in home appliances. The company’s AI Ecobubble feature saves up to 40 percent on energy consumption in washing machines. Samsung’s commitment to innovation and AI integration aims to enhance user experiences and streamline daily tasks. Consumers are increasingly choosing energy-efficient appliances, reflected in the growing sales of Samsung refrigerators and washing machines.
Looking ahead, Samsung plans to further improve technologies integrated into home appliances and introduce generative AI for seamless interactions with appliances through voice assistants like Samsung Bixby. The company is committed to ensuring the security and privacy of consumer data through technologies like Samsung Knox.
