At Blessing Health, patients in the Tri-States area now have access to a new and innovative experience for knee replacement surgery. This new approach involves the use of Velys Robotic-Assisted Technology, which was showcased to attendees during an open house in Quincy.
The technology assists surgeons with aligning, balancing, and making cuts during the procedure, working alongside them to reduce recovery time and allow patients to go home the same day. Surgeons at Blessing Health Center noted that using Velys can reduce the procedure time by approximately two hours. By ensuring that the knee is perfectly aligned and balanced, patients are able to recover much quicker. In fact, some patients have even regained full motion within two weeks of the procedure without needing a cane.
Since July of last year, doctors at Blessing Health have performed over 125 knee replacements using Velys Robotic-Assisted Technology. This cutting-edge technology is revolutionizing knee replacement surgeries by providing patients with a quicker recovery time and better results.
