Revolutionizing Social Networks: Meta’s AI Assistant Integration and New Features

Meta AI expands its reach to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger, demonstrating real-time image generation capabilities

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has integrated its AI assistant into its social networks including WhatsApp and Messenger. This integration provides users with new capabilities for accessing information on the web without having to switch between applications. The company has also introduced a new feature called Imagine, which allows users to generate images from text in WhatsApp.

Last year, Meta launched its chatbot-type assistant based on the Llama 2 model, which allowed users to access real-time information and interact with natural language across various services and devices. Recently, the company expanded testing of its Meta AI chatbot to users in India, the United States, and African countries.

With the launch of the new Llama 3 model, Meta has started implementing Meta AI on a global scale across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users can now use the assistant to access information on topics like restaurant recommendations, leisure plans, or study help directly from any of these social networks. Additionally, a web version of the assistant is available for use on computers at meta.ai.

Meta AI allows users to search for information in real-time without switching between applications. For example, users can ask for a cake recipe from within a Messenger chat and receive step-by-step instructions along with a link to the recipe website. The AI assistant can also provide additional information and resources based on the user’s requests.

Another feature of Meta AI is the ability to access the assistant through the feed on social networks. Users can request information related to posts in their feed, such as music recommendations or artist information. The assistant will suggest related queries and allow users to continue the conversation in a chat window.
