Revolutionizing the Parking Experience: Milwaukee Brewers Partner with Interstate Parking for Enhanced Fan Experience and Shorter Wait Times

License plate technology to be implemented by Brewers on Opening Day

On Tuesday, April 2, the Milwaukee Brewers will launch their Opening Day with the installation of a new parking system that aims to enhance the fan experience and reduce wait times. The partnership between the Brewers and Interstate Parking has led to the installation of cameras throughout American Family Field’s parking lot that use license plate recognition technology to identify each car entering.

The data collected will be securely stored in Interstate Parking’s system for 36 months before being deleted. This new system allows fans to purchase a pre-paid ticket through the MLB Ballpark app and simply scan a QR code upon arrival at the stadium. Those purchasing a pass on the day of the game can also scan their QR code and enter their credit card information or use cash and enter their license plate number at one of the available on-site parking kiosks.

Brewers and Interstate Parking employees will be present in the parking lots during Opening Day and throughout the season to assist fans in navigating this new system. They recognize that introducing something new may cause some apprehension but are confident that shorter wait times will lead to longer pre-game celebrations. Overall, this partnership is an effort by both organizations to enhance the fan experience and reduce time spent waiting in line before entering American Family Field to enjoy a baseball game.
