Rhode Island’s Quonset Business Park Surges to 14,000 Jobs in Just 15 Months, Fueled by Strategic Investments and Economic Growth

Quonset Business Park Exceeds 14,000 Employment Opportunities

Rhode Island has seen a significant surge in job growth at Quonset Business Park, with the park surpassing 14,000 jobs just 15 months after achieving 13,000 jobs. Governor Dan McKee praised the park as a key player in economic activity and job creation in the state.

The Quonset Development Corporation attributes this growth to strategic investments made at the Port of Davisville, which have attracted new companies and fostered job creation for residents of the state. Plans are also underway to invest in expansions and upgrades at the Port of Davisville, as well as the installation of cable for a wind farm project that is expected to generate hundreds of jobs in both Rhode Island and Connecticut.

House Speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi commended the leadership at Quonset Business Park for reaching this impressive milestone, while also expressing support for continued investments in the Port of Davisville to create more jobs and aid Rhode Island in achieving its climate goals. Senate President Dominick Ruggerio echoed this sentiment, praising the park’s growth and solidifying its reputation as one of the top business parks in the nation.
