The U.S. Ski & Snowboard has announced the nine ski cross athletes who will represent the USA at the Ski Cross FIS Junior World Championships in Idre Fjäll, Sweden next month. The team includes standout athletes like Morgan Shute, who recently won two medals at the Youth Olympic Games in Korea, and Walker Robinson, a teammate from the team event silver medal performance.

Chip Knight, U.S. Ski & Snowboard Alpine Development Director, expressed confidence in the team, noting the mix of up-and-coming athletes and experienced ski cross veterans. The athletes are expected to perform well against the world’s best at the upcoming event on April 14-15, 2024, which includes both individual and team events.

The U.S. Junior World Championships roster includes talented athletes like Molly Hagan, Maggie Swain, Deia Steinmetz, Sullivan Butler, Aiden England, Jack Mitchell, Tanner Murphy, and Walker Robinson. These athletes represent a strong group of ski cross competitors with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.

Molly Hagan is a rising star in ski cross who has already made a name for herself on the international stage with several top finishes in World Cup events. Maggie Swain is another young athlete who has been making waves in ski cross competitions across North America.

Deia Steinmetz is a veteran of ski cross racing who has represented Team USA at multiple World Cup events over the years. She brings her wealth of experience to this year’s junior championships as she aims for one final podium finish before retiring from competitive skiing.

Sullivan Butler is a versatile athlete who excels in both slopestyle and big air competitions alongside his freestyle skiing skills. Aiden England is known for his speed and agility on skis while Jack Mitchell is another up-and-coming athlete with impressive results on both domestic and international circuits.

Tanner Murphy rounds out the roster as he looks to make an impact on his first international competition as a junior member of Team USA.
