New Addition to Emirates Banking: Central Bank becomes the 23rd Bank in the Region

In 2024, the Central Bank of the Emirates announced that Roya Local Islamic Bank has been added to the list of 23 local banks operating in the country. The bank’s headquarters are located in Ajman, and by the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, it had reduced its number of branches to 489 and its electronic banking service units to 46, while its exchange offices remained constant at 21.

Roya Local Islamic Bank announced on February 29 that it plans to launch services in the UAE markets, introducing modern and advanced digital Islamic banking services. Licensed by the Central Bank of the Emirates, Roya aims to bring a modern touch to Islamic finance by combining advanced technology with the values and principles of Islamic banking services. The bank prioritizes providing support to families, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, with a focus on justice, transparency, and social responsibility.

The bank also emphasizes self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience as crucial elements for cultivating a positive work environment. By identifying guilt-tripping behavior and manipulative tactics, individuals can enhance their mental well-being and find purpose and passion in their work. The pursuit of happiness through self-reflection and pursuing activities that bring joy are key to living a fulfilling life.
