St. Hubert High School Hosts Conference Empowering Women in Technology – Catholic Philly

On April 25th, Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia hosted a Women in Technology Conference. This event was held on International Girls in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Day, which is designated by the International Telecommunication Union. The theme for this year’s Girls in ICT Day was Leadership.

The conference featured various speakers, including Jeanine Heck, Senior Vice President at Comcast Corporation, who served as the keynote speaker. Students from Saint Hubert’s Technology Club, Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls and Archbishop Ryan High School participated in the event. Throughout the day, students engaged in activities such as coding using Artificial Intelligence and had mentoring sessions with female leaders from local corporations.

A panel discussion moderated by Jennifer Palloni, Regional Sales Manager at Cisco was also included in the conference. Cisco Networking Academy is an initiative that aims to provide IT skills and job opportunities to learners worldwide. Overall, the Women in Technology Conference provided a valuable platform for young women to explore career opportunities in the technology industry and interact with successful female leaders in the field.
