New Downtown Shop Brewing Up Fresh Coffee

Roanoke is now home to Asher’s Coffee Beans, a coffee shop owned by Jacob Asher Galbraith. Located at 425 Campbell Ave S.W., the coffee shop offers a unique perspective on the coffee industry with its focus on quality and dedication to sourcing and roasting the finest beans from around the world.

Galbraith, a native of Northern Virginia who is pursuing a career in the food and beverage industry, holds a degree in culinary nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. He previously worked as a chef at Wilderness Adventure in New Castle and headed dining services at Springtree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke before launching his own coffee business in 2021.

The coffee shop offers about 17 different blends and single origin coffees, all roasted in-house using an Aillio Bullet drum roaster at the LEAP kitchen. The current best-selling roast is a low-acid blend from Peru, but customers can also enjoy a variety of other blends sourced from different regions of the world.
