In a dominant performance, 27-year-old golfer Scottie Scheffler secured his second green jacket at Augusta National with a four-stroke victory over his competitors. Top-ranked Scheffler outperformed his fellow golfers in a back-nine shootout, earning him the prestigious title of Masters champion for the second time.

Scheffler, who also won the green jacket in 2022, received a record $3.6 million top prize following an intense battle on Sunday with Collin Morikawa and Ludvig Aberg from Sweden. The final stretch saw Scheffler birdie three of the last six holes, finishing with a total score of 11-under 277 on the iconic 7,555-yard layout at Augusta National.

Aberg shot a 69 to secure second place with a total score of 281, while two-time major champion Morikawa closed with a 74 to share third place with Homa and Fleetwood at 284.

Scheffler emphasized the importance of staying calm and patient on the course, making key shots and putts that helped him maintain momentum throughout the round. With this victory, he became only the fourth player to win multiple Masters titles while holding the top spot in world rankings.

Homa praised Scheffler as an amazing golfer, highlighting his impressive skill on the course. Despite only having five Masters starts, Scheffler now has two green jackets under his belt, solidifying his status as a top contender in golf’s most prestigious tournament.

In an interview after the game, Scheffler said: “I can’t express what it means to win this tournament again. It’s been my dream since I was young and I finally made it happen.”
