Seahawks Bolster Offensive Line with Pro Bowl-Caliber Guard Laken Tomlinson

Seahawks reach a deal with offensive guard Laken Tomlinson

In a major move for their offensive line, the Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent guard Laken Tomlinson to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million. Tomlinson, who has primarily played at left guard throughout his career, brings valuable experience and consistency to the Seahawks as they look to improve their offensive line play.

With 99 percent of his snaps at left guard, Tomlinson has been durable and reliable, missing only one game in nine seasons. He was originally a first-round pick by the Lions in 2015 and was later traded to the 49ers in 2017. In 2021, he earned his first Pro Bowl selection.

The Seahawks had openings at both guard spots and saw Tomlinson as a valuable addition to their roster. His experience and consistency at left guard make him a reliable option for Seattle as they work to improve their offensive line play. With his arrival, the Seahawks are sure to have a stronger and more efficient offensive line.
