Senator Warnock: Trump’s Branded Bibles Violate Christian Principles, Risky Business.

Warnock calls Trump’s use of Bibles ‘risky’

In a scathing critique of former President Donald Trump, Senator Rafael Warnock (D-Ga.) has accused the former president of engaging in “risky business” by selling branded Bibles. As a reverend and senator, Warnock believes that the practice goes against the core principles of Christianity, citing a story from the Bible where Jesus chased money changers out of the temple.

During an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Warnock emphasized that the Bible does not require Trump’s endorsement and that it is ironic for someone with a history of dishonesty to engage in such business. He also warned that it was risky for someone like Trump to profit off sacred things, particularly given his past sins.

The announcement of Trump’s “God Bless USA” Bibles, which were priced at $60 each and contained the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, has sparked controversy and ridicule. Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) suggested that Trump should read a Bible, particularly pointing out the commandment against adultery. The branded Bibles have also been parodied on “Saturday Night Live” and denounced by various critics, including lawmakers.
