A pickup truck crashed into Athletico Physical, a physical therapy office in Redford Township, causing significant damage to the building. Although there were no reported injuries, witnesses described the severity of the crash and how they feared for their lives.
According to Andrew Bennett, who was nearby when the crash occurred, the driver of the GMC Sierra HD pickup truck veered off the road and collided with a power pole before crashing into the building. Paris Edwards, who was working out inside at the time of the crash, heard a loud noise followed by a crash and immediately fled to safety.
Douglas Wilson and his friends were outside when they saw the truck hit the pole and heard it coming towards them. They ran for safety as fast as they could. Law enforcement officials arrived on scene immediately after witnessing this dangerous incident. The road was temporarily closed to allow DTE crews to remove the damaged power pole before reopening it later that day. The business is currently closed for repairs while investigations continue to determine what caused this tragic accident.
