Skytrax Unveils Top 10 Airport Hotels Worldwide: US TWA Hotel Takes Third Place

The Third Best Airport Hotel in the World is Located in NYC

In recent years, airport hotels have undergone significant improvements, shedding their drab and dated image and becoming a preferred choice for travelers. Skytrax, a renowned organization for star rating programs for airlines and airports, has released an annual ranking of the best airport hotels around the world. Two U.S airports have made it to the global top 10, with one even reaching number three.

To determine the rankings, Skytrax reviewed guest surveys and considered factors such as overall experience, access to and from the airport, cleanliness, in-room amenities, quality of facilities and restaurants, and value for money. The TWA Hotel in NYC’s JFK International Airport has secured the third spot in the global rankings, trailing only behind Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Airport in China and Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore. Another U.S hotel that made it to the top ten globally is the Grand Hyatt at San Francisco International Airport.

According to Skytrax’s rankings, the top five North American airport hotels mostly hail from the U.S., with one exception – The Fairmont at Vancouver International Airport in Canada. Topping the list are TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport in NYC followed by The Westin at San Francisco International Airport and The Westin at Denver International Airport while Grand Hyatt at San Francisco International Airport comes fourth on this list.
