Jason Duff, founder and CEO of Small Nation, and Nick Davis, business development associate, were among the attendees at the Small Business Showcase on May 1 in honor of National Small Business Week. The event was hosted by the House Committee on Small Business and Chairman Rep. Roger Williams of Texas at the U.S. Capitol Building.

During the showcase, Duff highlighted projects that Small Nation has helped redevelop small towns, including Six Hundred Downtown Pizzeria, Brewfontaine craft beer bar, and the Historic Opera Block project in Downtown Bellefontaine. Karen Kerrigan, President and CEO of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council, was also present with Nick Davis to share about their work with small businesses.

House Speaker Mike Johnson and Majority Whip Tom Emmer also attended the event to recognize Main Street businesses and their contributions. Other small businesses from various states were also present at the event, but Small Nation was the only representative from Ohio.

Kerrigan praised the event as high-energy with attendance from many members of Congress and House GOP leadership. She thanked entrepreneurs like Duff for their advocacy efforts in supporting community banks, removing regulations, and approving tax policies that encourage growth for small businesses across the country.
