The North Star Aviation program in Mankato recently hosted an event featuring vendors from various aviation fields, including aviation law, aviation business, aviation insurance, and aircraft sales. Students like Arianna Moore, a sophomore in the program, are excited about the diverse career opportunities available in the aviation industry. Moore mentioned that her father’s advice to aim for the stars resonates with her as she explores different paths in aviation.

At the Minnesota Business Aviation Day event, 26 vendors provided students with valuable networking opportunities. Jessica Belcher, a marketing manager for an aircraft sales company, commended the students for their enthusiasm and genuine interest in learning about the aviation industry. She noted that the students were motivated to be there and were not simply going through the motions.

The dedication and eagerness of the students at the event showcase their passion for aviation and their determination to pursue careers in the industry. Willy Mekeel, an associate professor at the program, emphasized the importance of students prioritizing events like this despite their busy schedules and other commitments. He noted that these events play a crucial role in inspiring and educating the next generation of aviation professionals.
