Armed with brooms and dustpans, they gathered on South Eighth and Mary Street before moving on to East Carson Street. While they have paid cleaners, the owners believe it is essential to take responsibility for keeping the area clean and litter-free.

James Hoffmann, the owner of Mario’s South Side Saloon, shared his perspective on changing the narrative surrounding the South Side.
