Spring into Action: St. Vrain Valley Schools’ Plant Sale Brings Agricultural Enthusiasm to Life

Career Elevation and Technology Center Annual Plant Sale offers Over 40,000 Plants

The Career Elevation and Technology Center’s annual plant sale is a beloved community tradition and a culmination of the year-long efforts of agriscience students at St. Vrain Valley Schools. This event supports the Agricultural Sciences program by providing students with hands-on experience and leadership development in agricultural careers.

In 2024, students have cultivated over 40,000 plants to be featured in the plant sale. The proceeds from the sale will directly support the agricultural program by funding soil, field trips, and learning opportunities for students.

The 2024 Plant Sale will take place on May 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from May 6 to May 10 (or until sold out) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Career Elevation and Technology Center located at 1200 South Sunset St. Visitors can follow signs in the parking lot to the greenhouse located southeast of the building. Payment for the plants can be made with cash or check only.

At the plant sale, attendees can choose from a selection of annual bedding plants, geraniums, hanging baskets, patio planters, herbs, vegetables, perennials, succulents, and house plants grown by students who are passionate about agriculture and environmental sustainability through this event they can support their education while also acquiring beautiful plants for their homes or gardens.

This year’s plant sale promises to be bigger than ever with thousands of unique plants on display that have been carefully nurtured by agriscience students throughout the school year.

Overall, this event is an excellent opportunity for members of our community to come together in support of local agriculture while also enjoying an array of beautiful plants grown by talented young minds.
