Spring Playback: Showcasing Elmhurst University’s Music Industry Talent with a Charitable twist

Concert “Spring Playback” hosted by Music Business Student Union scheduled for April 27th

Elmhurst University’s Music Business Student Union has organized a concert featuring bands with alumni and current students, set to take place on campus on Saturday, April 27. The “Spring Playback” concert will showcase three opening acts and a headlining performance in R.A. Faganel Hall, starting at 4:00 p.m.

The event will feature “Polly on The Wall,” followed by “Holden Meier and The Boys” at 5:00 p.m., “One Night Only” at 6:00 p.m., and “Arrowleaf” headlining at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, with a suggested $5 donation to support music business scholarships and improve the program.

The Music Business Student Union has taken care of all aspects of the concert, including technical requirements like lights and sound, vendor relations, merchandise design, scheduling, and event promotion through various channels including social media and fundraisers.

The main objectives of the Music Business Student Union with this event are to promote music business education at Elmhurst U., raise funds for scholarships, and expand the program. Additionally, the concert provides hands-on experience for music and music business students, helping them apply their skills in a real-world context to gain a professional edge in their future careers.
