High School Team in North Jersey Earns Spotlight for April 29-May 5

The past week saw several impressive team efforts, including Demarest softball’s 3-1 record, which included a remarkable 7-3 win over Hawthorne. Fair Lawn softball made history by defeating the third-seeded Fair Lawn team 6-1 in the Bergen County Tournament. Leonia girls track & field captured their first league title since 1991. Mahwah girls lacrosse had a standout week with wins over Ramsey, Montville, and an upset victory over Ramapo in the Bergen County Tournament.

Pascack Hills baseball went undefeated with a 5-0 record, including a come-from-behind victory over Paramus in the Bergen County Tournament. St. Mary baseball also had a successful run with three wins and an impressive scoreline of 20-1 against their opponents. West Milford boys track & field secured their first league title since 2011, while Westwood boys lacrosse had three wins, including overtime victories over Demarest and West Milford.
